I am Elaine's partner and I wish to add a few words after seeing Elaine offering her expertise as a Celebrant at various funerals. They are obviously sad occasions but with a dignified approach, and time spent with families to make sure the service is delivered as they require, Elaine certainly constructs a beautiful scenario. It is a time for tears, but also a celebration of the life of the deceased, which will be remembered for many years. My sister's funeral, conducted by Elaine, was simply perfect, the balance between quiet dignity and a joyful departure, a release from the indignity of Alzheimer's disease. Better times recalled and an out flowing of love for that beautiful soul so well presented by Elaine.
Elaine, you made our day to say our goodbyes to our precious Mum so special. Such a sad day turned out to be a happy occasion inspired by your words and love. All that attended left feeling such love and positivity for the future without our beautiful selfless Mum. The presentation of her life was amazing and we can never thank you enough. Elaine spent time with us, to really find out what we wanted on the day, what dads interests, and life was about, and then created a eulogy to bring all these aspects together, in a kind, respectful way, she made us feel at ease, and helped us both before and after the event. I chose Elaine to be the celebrant at my husband John’s funeral because I was so impressed with her genuine feelings towards my friend, and her family, when her husband passed away, and I knew I was right to do so. Me and my family talked at great length with Elaine about John and she could tell what a wonderfully loved man he was. This she portrayed perfectly during her touching eulogy to John. John had a long and eventful life with so much to tell, so much that it could have filled a book, but Elaine, in her wonderful way managed to convey his story so well. without leaving the important things out. Elaine was our chosen celebrant for my late mums funeral. Elaine came to my dad’s home and was so wonderful the way she conducted herself during a very difficult time for my family. We discussed our lovely memories about my mum and she translated this into the most beautiful tribute.
