Elopement Ceremony

Elopement ceremonies are already inherently unique – go a step further and craft a ceremony script that represents your relationship! I was fortunate enough to officiate an elopement ceremony for an exquisite couple from Florida in May 2022. A fellow celebrant, Jenny, was unable to take the ceremony and passed it on to me.

Roy and Mandy from Tampa, Florida, have a great love of cycling and were taking part in the Le Blanq cycling event on the Isle of Wight with the likes of Bradley Wiggins and Sir Chris Hoy, along with many other famous names. They decided that it would be a great idea to get married, just the two of them, in an elopement ceremony here on the island. They had chosen their exact spot in Freshwater Bay on the cliffs.

Initially, they were going to stop off on their bikes in their cycling gear, but as we progressed with plans, they decided to go the whole hog. They dressed in full wedding outfits, complete with flowers, cars, champagne, and music! Upon their return to Florida, they planned to have another ceremony with their family and friends.

They were so happy with their ceremony that they said it would be hard to replicate back home.
