Event Consultancy and Project Management

I have 24 years experience in the organisation of large and small events for the Local Authority, and have been involved in the development, management, planning, funding and delivery of many large public and private events.

Events I have been involved with include the Isle of Wight Walking Festival - my personal design and launch; the Isle of Wight Festival (from initial launch); Cowes Week Entertainment and Cowes Week Firework Night; the Isle of Wight Cycling Festival; Island Games launch; Olympic Torch visit; Royal visits; the Schneider Trophy and UK's Strongest Man, to name but a few.

Also I have extensive experience with advertising, marketing and promotion and communication of these events, locally, nationally and internationally, including radio and TV promotion (and two events featured on Sky TV and BBC Countryfile and recently working on marketing campaigns with Visit Isle of Wight.

I have great experience in obtaining and working with high profile sponsors and partners, and working with all responsible authorities, and external stakeholders. I also have considerable experience working with colleagues in the lieutenancy office with civic events and royal visits to the Island, and in 1999 I personally accompanied HRH the Queen & Prince Philip during a visit to the Isle of Wight, and managed their involvement with the Walking Festival - un-veiling a plaque.
